Even though the new standards just took effect, planning for the next version is already in progress. The Statewide Utility Codes and Standards Team supports the Energy Commission in developing revisions to Title 24, Part 6. The joint intent is to achieve significant energy savings through the continued development of reasonable, responsible, and cost-effective code change proposals for the 2019 Building Energy Efficiency Standards.
The Statewide Utility Codes and Standards Team welcomes participation in a series of webinars scheduled in March to share input on potential code changes and inform the market, energy, and cost-effectiveness analyses. Each webinar will cover specific topic areas and the agendas and presentations will be posted on Title24Stakeholders.com. Sign up here for an invite to attend the meeting series and to stay informed about the utility-sponsored stakeholder outreach process.
The utility-sponsored stakeholder meetings on residential topics include:
- Residential Water Heating
- Residential Envelope Measures
- Residential HVAC and Residential / Non-residential Indoor Air Quality
